Remembrance Day 2018

Calling family members of the men whose names appear on the memorial gates at the Loch Memorial Reserve.

There will be the usual Remembrance Day service, at the cenotaph, on the corner of Smith and Victoria Street, but this year being the 100th anniversary, we will be honouring these men by ‘planting’ a poppy.

We are calling on the families, public and anyone else possible to be involved.

Poppies will be available for anyone else who would like to remember their service persons on this special day.

The ladies of the Loch Garden Club are very busy making poppies for this purpose and will donate all proceeds to Legacy.

We will assemble at 10:30 am to enable the poppies to be distributed and the service to commence at around 10:45 am to allow the 11:00 am minutes silence to be observed.
