Approximately 100 km southeast from Melbourne and located at the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges you will find the charming villages of Loch, Poowong, Bena, Kernot and Nyora. The perfect place to base your getaway while exploring the many wonderful attractions and artisans our region has to offer.
We appreciate the hard work our pioneers undertook to establish our region, and our dedicated locals for preserving and enhancing our villages, from volunteering to establishing businesses, we thank you all for supporting these local initiatives.
The Loch Village website is maintained by the Loch Community Development Association (LCDA), a voluntary group of dedicated local community members. We hope you enjoy exploring the resource and learn more about the wonderful attractions, businesses and events that help make Loch and the surrounding townships such a beautiful place to live, work, run a small business and visit!
The LCDA acknowledges the Bunurong people, the Traditional Owners of this land we pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

We warmly invite you to visit Loch and enjoy our annual garden festival where a group of local residents open their gardens. Have a good old sticky beak or ask for gardening tips!
While you’re here, make sure you pop into one of our cafes and restaurants, or indulge in a glass of wine or a sneaky gin. Oh, and don’t forget to visit the Op Shop run by our friendly volunteers and the gorgeous retail businesses in town. Loch has vintage gems and clothing, art studios, homewares and other boutique delights. There’s plenty to do for the kids, at our playground, skate park and memorial reserve.
For a small village, Loch really does have something for everyone! We look forward to seeing you.
Projects completed by L CDA
For over 20 years the Loch Community Development Association (LCDA) has delivered projects for the benefit of Loch and surrounding areas.
In addition to the projects, LCDA has a continuous role in general community support. It has provided funding to various bodies, for example Loch Primary School, Loch Kindergarten, the local halls in the district, various clubs and when required individuals and families in dire need.
LCDA also is an advocate for Loch with various government bodies, tourism promoters and community groups. LCDA is your partner in strengthening our community.
